Greek Suvlaki

BE, savoury, grilled


  • 200 gr of lean meat (pork shoulder)
  • 2 pitta breads
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 firm tomato, sliced
  • salt
  • red pepper
  • 1 cup of oil

Dice the meat and sprinkle with salt, pepper and oregano. Divide the pieces of meat and put them on to the skewers. Put them to cook on the grill. Chop the onions and the parsley. Cut up the tomato into thin slices.

Cook the pittas on the grill, coating them with oil. When the peices of meat are tender, put them on to the pitta (one skewer for each pitta bread) and slowly draw out the skewer. Add the onion, the parsley, the tomato, sprinkle with red pepper and roll up the pitta.
