Korvapuustit (Cinnamon Rolls)
FI, sweet, baked, vegetarian
- Finnish "pulla" dough
- Very soft butter
- Sugar
- Cinnamon Powder
- Egg
- Pearl sugar
Form the dough into a rectangle (30 x 60 cm), 1/2 cm thick. Spread it with butter and then sprinkle it with a mix of sugar and cinnamon. Warp it to a roll, starting from the long edge. Make sure the seam is in the bottom. Using a sharp knife, cut the dough roll in zig-zag pattern: /\/\/\/\ Place the buns on a baking sheet lined with paper, with the pointy side up. Press them down with your finger to make the right "Korvapuusti" form. Let them rise under a tea towel until double size. Brush them with egg and sprinkle some pearl sugar on top Bake and enjoy while still hot with a glass of cold milk or cup of coffee.
