NL, savoury, cooked, vegan


  • 8 stewing pears
  • 1 bottle of black berry juice or a bottle of red wine
  • 2 cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tbsp of sugar

Peel the pears and cut into quarters. Put them in a pan with the juice or wine. Add the cloves, cinnamon sticks and the sugar.

If the pears are not completely covered, then add some water. Bring to boil and simmer for 2 hours.

Serve as a side dish
