Cornbread

US, savoury, baked, vegetarian


  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil

Preheat oven to 400°F Mix together dry ingredients. In separate bowl mix wet ingredients.

Mix wet and dry ingredients.

Put in greased 8 x 8 inch baking pan. Bake 20 - 25 minutes (until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean).
